When we (Roger and Allison) began farming, our goal was to have the land support itself, and to grow as much of our own food as we could. We were determined to do this alone - with no hired help.

Today we have accomplished those goals and are growing food for not only ourselves, but for those people who have discovered us and have come to love our produce.

All of our vegetables are organically grown in our two large gardens. Our lettuces, beans, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, cilantro and arugula are all grown from seeds we have been saving for more than 20 years. During the gardening season we pick, wash, and package vegetables for our store every day.

Our eggs, chicken and pork are not organic, as the feed we give our animals is not organic. That was a decision we made years ago, to ensure that our friends and neighbors could afford our produce.

In a continued effort to leave as small a footprint on this earth as possible, we are powered 85% by solar, and heat our home with an outside wood fired boiler, using wood harvested from the property.

In addition to farming, Allison is a water color artist, and she gives water coloring workshops for adults who want to learn how to paint with water colors. If you are interested in these workshops, please contact us!
